Channel 5 in the UK has commissioned a reboot of a former BBC1 gameshow from Sony-backed Belfast prodco Stellify Media.

Win Your Wish List has been greenlit for a 7×60’ run in the Viacom-owned network’s Saturday night primetime schedule.

Stellify Media previously rebooted former ITV format Blind Date for C5, marking a return to entertainment formats in Saturday prime for the channel, and more recently worked on the return of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? for ITV.

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo will front the show, which sees five members of a family compete to win their individual list of perfect prizes, when it launches this summer.

Sounds awful.

I have only the dimmest recollection that "Win Your Wish List" was ever even a thing.

Doesn't strike me as something that anyone anywhere is/was clamouring for a revival of.

It was one of the national lottery gameshows and was hosted by Shane Richie on the BBC

I assume that it only lasted a couple of series or so, at best? And will have been pretty much forgotten (and barely registered to begin with) by the mass populous?

Like many a lottery-wraparound gameshow format, I can't see it as something that will have passed into public affection to be long remembered as a "classic gameshow".

Certainly not a classic, but one I enjoyed though. It was last shown 2016 and had 2 series in total.

I thought it might have been a better idea to resurrect "Moment of Truth" that was presented by Cilla back in the 00's. It could work if modernised I think.

Surprised they didn't go for the similar show with Ruth and Eamonn- C5 seem obsessed with them.

Obsessed with them? Odd expression for a couple with a high profile that tend to pull in a decent crowd.

I'd prefer a revival of Winning Lines or 1 vs 100, even if they were cheaper than the originals.

And was it ever established why the BBC cancelled Secret Fortune after three series - when it arguably had one or two more left in it and also wasn't tremendously expensive to produce?

You mean Gift Wrapped?

Equal third in UKGameshows' Hall of Shame for 2014 - and arguably even less remembered now than Win Your Wish List...

It's interesting 5 are reviving a show that wasn't that popular, I assume they can make it their own without the baggage of expectations unlike something like Blind Date or WWTBAM. I like Gino but I don't see him as a gameshow host and I think he could struggle

It seems that they're rebuilding Saturdays once the Football is over with. I think a gameshow and Blind Date plus maybe a movie at 9pm could do well for them.

Winning Lines would be interesting and Stellify would own the rights to it since Sony have the rights to previous Celador gameshows. 1 vs 100 I think the show is with Endemol.

I would rather 5 look at current entertainment shows from other countries like Hollywood Game Night, The Wall or Game of Games but I suspect they're too expensive or the producers would rather sell it to BBC One or ITV.

Or just revive their own 100%, rebrand it 1000% and air it for 5 hours.
