Did anyone notice that CBBC on BBC ONE this afternoon was being refered to by the studio presenters as 'CBBC on ONE'? It also cropped up at the end of a few of the trailers...
Does this seem a strange change to anyone else? Does this mean that BBC ONE will become just 'ONE'? Was it just a slip of the tounge when the presenter of the main evening news last night said 'there are hourly updates over on BBC News 24 while the next news on One will be at 9 o'clock'
maybe they're falling in line with other channels
channel 4 calls itself 'four'
channel 5 calls itself 'five'
maybe they're following suit.

Well it fits in with CBBC on Choice - except that's on the way out in a couple of months. Perhaps it's to help distinguish CBBC output on BBC1 and BBC2 from the forthcoming CBBC channel?
And there's nothing new in BBC1 and BBC2 referring to themselves as simply '1' and '2' - it was common practice in the 1980s, eg 'Over on 2 now it's Gardeners' World, while here on 1 it's time for Top of the Pops'.
Anyone catch the '2002 CBBC' trailer on CBBC this afternoon? Lots of dark bits and colours all flashing around advertising programmes and this sort of stick man dancing around - if you think the current look is very much for young children, I'd say the new one is very 'teenagey'...if of course, the trailer reflects the new look.

It's because Neighbours is on a two week break and but it will be back on the 7th at the usual times. Or they are getting fed up of showing the world's strongest man how old is that!
