Real Media to AVI

That happened to me. You have typed the .ram in wrong. Change it accordingly.

RealAudio - .ra
RealMedia - .rm
RealPlayer File - .ram

'C:TinraTINRA.EXE file:spr.ra file:HEO.avi'

That's wrong! There should only be one 'file:'

so type in:

C:TinraTINRA.EXE file: spr.ra heo.avi

Note only one 'file:' and the fact there is a space between 'file:' and 'spr.ra'

(Win98 but may work for others)
Go to the Start Menu > Settings > Folder Options > View and untick 'Hide extensions of known file types'

Load explorer, right-click on the Real Media file and then you can rename the file and extension. You may get a message box come up, just click Yes.

ok, tried remaning the files, but, still no luck i managed to V.quickly print screen on the dos winsdow that one fo less that a second and it says:

Loaded rmacore
Assertion failed: avi!=null, file ..avifuncs.cpp, line 26

abernormal temrination.

(that is exactly what comes up in the less than a second opening dos window, i typed EXACTLY as you said in the run command eand no luck, but i can get it to make a blank.avi fiel with nothing it, just a 0kb file, is it my, my version of tinra, or me????)

DID We ACTUALLY NEED THAT COMMENT??????

I JUST WHAT TO KNOW If IT ME OR MY PC...In the post i said early it said there was line missinag in a dll or something if anyones got that file please send it to me, or send a copy of tinra that you know works, Please, THANKS ALL THAT TRIED TO HELP!!!
