I suspect Rylan is being kept at hand by the BBC should Graham Norton be tempted away.

I believe Graham's current contract is up for renewal in 2020. He renewed his BBC deal in 2017 for a three year deal, and 2020 it ends, however I very much doubt the BBC will lose Graham Norton, his talk show is the most successful in the UK, thumping Ross and Morgan in the ratings - Graham will stay, so I don't see it as the BBC keeping Rylan at hand as you say.

Exactly. More a case of Rylan getting every job in TV at the moment because he's available, putting himself forward and really there aren't too many other options around. Assuming they wanted a new face there aren't that many options around.

"Ready Steady Cook is a celebration of the much loved BBC One Daytime show, reimagined for contemporary Britain."

Oh dear. Nothing good can come of a modern-day 're-imagining' of a classic format. I read that as 'we've tried to make it appeal to the youth by adding hashtags and reality stars'. I can't wait for episode three where Gemma Collins makes everyone cry with laughter by turning up with a courgette because she thought it was a big cucumber. Be brilliant, that. I'm Sky+ing it already.

I like how you’ve invented this whole situation yourself, taken offence to it and ultimately decided you won’t tune in. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I like how you've taken against my comment enough to bother responding. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I don't think this reboot sounds that good, you clearly do. We have different opinions. It really couldn't matter less.
