Although I assume Boat Rocker Media has them well preserved, I'm surprised how few Rainbow episodes from 1972-1980 were given a commercial release, aside from four episodes from Series 1: the first episode, Shapes, Water, Work and Trees, one Series 2 episode, (the first series with a redesigned Bungle, George and Roy Skelton providing Zippy's vocals), Cars, and a clip from Series 3: (the first series with Geoffrey presenting and Ronnie Le Drew and Stanley Bates as Zippy and Bungle's performers), the episode, Horses, taken from the 1990 VHS, The Best Children's TV of the Decade: 70's, hosted by a young Philip Schofield.
The post-Series 12 episodes received much more exposure and DVD releases, (I know because the 81-82 ones were repeated constantly on Nick. Jr Classics in the mid 2000's), I'd be most interested in seeing Series 3-9, with the programme's core elements coming into fruition.
