Some strange choices.

Popstars:The Rivals was really big at the time, and wasn't that bad.

Popstars: The Rivals was awful. They probably chose it for the uncontrollable sobbing that occured at the end of every live show.

I don't understand why French & Saunders are on the list. They are very much 'love em or hate em' but the quality of the programmes are generally good.

I'm quite surprised to see French & Saunders in there too, also George & Mildred and Family Fortunes, all three have been watched and enjoyed by Millions!

You either hate or love Crossroads & Eurovision so there are understandable.

Had to laugh at the Minipops entry.... very dodgy programme! Shocked

I don't understand why Family Fortunes, 321 and Thomas The Tank Engine and friends are on the list. All of these programmes were top notch until the final years were FF and TTTE were terrible because of takeovers, overmodernisation, carelessness, e.t.c.

And oh yeah, 100th post!

And for Crossroads he should have only said 2003!

I thought the Kwik Save adverts[We're making a drama out of our prices] were funny!

Crossroads (1964-1988, 2001-2003)

I was only age 7 when Crossroads mk1 ended, and had never ever watched it. But I was a regular viewer of mk2 from the outset! I was so annoyed when the re -revamped it. I only saw the first episode of mk3, thought "what a pile of xxxx" and never watched again - they ruined it!

I'd be interseted to see the final ever mk3 episode. I've been lead to believe that it was a Dallas-style "it was all a dream" scenario, with the two female leads turning out to be gormless checkout girls who imagined that they ran a hotel??????

Does mk1 count as part of the checkout girls' dream???? (In which case none of Crossroads was "for real")????

17 OTT (1982)

OTT deserved to be in that list - it shows just what happens when you take a Saturday morning kids' TV favourite and revamp it for an adult audience. Its second incarnation, Saturday Stayback, wasn't that much better. And by taking most of the Tiswas favourites to OTT, that show also went up the tubes.

43 Clive James' Postcar from... (1990-1999)

Well that brings a whole new dimension - Clive James doing a travelogue from a mailvan! Laughing
Unless it's a typo and you meant to say "postcard"....

Strange that Heartbeat has appeared... maybe that's past its sell-by date.

I'm glad that Friends was on that list, an extremely over-rated show IMHO-- probably why it's on the list. Sums up all that's dire about most American comedies.

Thomas the Tank Engine and friends - scandalous!

As for Flog It, it's one of the better daytime antiques programmes. All the Cash in the Attic, Car Boot programmes are far worse!

All the programmes about fat people on Channel Five...God, why are C5 obsessed with obese people- it's just disgusting.
