Except the Midlands Edition (November 2005)

The latest edition of The Radio Times does not have the price marked on the front cover. The usual date/cost strapline has moved to the top of the cover but no price details have been added.

It still does have a barcode so will not cause problems except for local shops. I am sure this will be an extra special copy for any collectors out there??

I noticed this in my local newsagent this morning. They had manually priced all the RTs with a price gun.

I mentioned this on page 15 of the Christmas Schedules thread because I didn't think it was worth a new thread. Shows what I know! Should have trusted my instinct....

- Hello Mervyn. Would you like the Xmas radio times? It's four pounds.

- Four pounds? That's a hell of a price.

- It's not the price, it's the weight.

Is it still £1.80 like last years? (I only buy The Radio Times at Christmas).

Well, I suppose inflation takes it's toll. I have some very old TV Mags in my loft.......RT was 8p and TV Times was 10p Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

i never buy Radio Times - i find it too expensive for a tv guide and I much prefer the soap guides in TV Times or TV Quick. I get TV Quick every week which as 65p is enough to spend on a tv guide, and sometimes if there is an article of interest I will get TV Times (like this week for example). At Christmas I always get TV Times and TV Quick.

Yes, I noticed this when I was serving a customer at work. Not a problem for us though, as profit margins on all magazines are 25% we can just check the invoice and do the calculations.
