Hi,

I've been living in France for two years, and there I listened a DAILY radio show about the medias, it is called "Le grand direct des médias" on Europe 1 station. Once I moved back to Spain, I still listen to it throught podcasting. I was wondering if there's something similar in the UK, I found the "Media Show" on BBC Radio 4, but it is WEEKLY.

Ah, and if there's a podcast subscription for it it would be just wonderful.

Thanks to all!

Best wishes Wink

I'd be very surprised if you found anything on a daily basis. I quite enjoy listening to the weekly TV reviews featuring Boyd Hilton on the podcast of Richard Bacon's daily 5Live show but probably not the sort of thing you're looking for.

It's probably only the BBC who would provide anything like what you are after in terms of broadcast radio. There is likely to be a number of podcasts that would suit you however, TV Forum's Rob does something I believe.

Just a note to say that after a lot of thought, I've decided to end the TV Live On Demand podcasts. I simply do not have the time to do them anymore. Thank you to those who downloaded them, and to Colm O'Rourke for contributing to them.

Rob has stopped doing them now.

Thanks for your contributions!

Even here in Spain there's nothing like that. I knew it would be difficult to find something similar Smile Thanks for helping!

There are some good media shows in the states as well. I listen to NPR's "On the Media" quite often. Very NPR, but usually interesting.

WGBH in Boston has a weekly panel show called "Beat the Press". Some segments are a bit too Boston-centric and can be skipped.

If you add enough of these together, you'll probably get a daily media programme.

Yep, it comes out every Friday and is quite good. It seems to get a good balance between publishing, TV and radio.

Their Tech Weekly podcast is worth a listen too, it's mainly web/phones/computers but of course it strays into new media very often

1915 ish after "The Archers" on BBC Radio 4 daily. "Front Row" I think it's called.
Not strictly about media every time but occassionally it pops up.
Books/plays/films/TV and Radio discussed.
Worth a listen.

LBC in London used to have a media show on Sunday afternoons with Brian Hayes and Matt Wells from 2003-04, but was axed when the station was re-focused.

There's also the Radio Today podcast which looks at UK radio news.
