Funny bit on Chris Moyles just now when they had to evacuate for the second time in an hour.

The first time I didn't (and many more probably wouldn't have) notice. They hit the emergency tape button and left. Outkast & Sugarbabes played out and then they came back and carried on with the show without sayig anything.

Then at just after 9 it went off again - this time with a ringing alarm (apparently the first time it was just a flashing light but if it's serious they get a bell!). They had to own up this time and left us with the emergenct tape - Outkast & Sugarbabes again!

Yeah, Chris' comment at 8.30 about "you won't believe what's happening" and the lack of personalised jingle at the time made sense when he really couldn't hide a loud fire alarm at 9. Travelling each day, I now can't get enough of the show - some of the stuff they get away with is unbelievable. And like a couple of presenters on live TV, Chris is just not bothered about explaining the technical stuff to listeners, rewinding songs on air and generally just having a laugh. Proof that a show can be good without being slick. And bye to Jules! Wink

I love it too - especially car park catchphrase.

Bye, bye Mr Fish...

Yes, Chris Moyles at Breakfast definately works.
Very fitting tribute to Jules today - sad to hear her leave the show!
They really make you feel like you know them and that is what makes it great. He's just a naturally funny man and the team work (almost) seamlessly together! Also love the jingles!

We learned today that the jingles cost £1,000 each!

It wouldn't surprise my as the people who sing the Moyles jingle must be almost 'on call'. Very often there's a jingle which is very topical - sometimes about something which happened the previous evening. Having the people in the studio late at night must make them cost a bit?

I seem to have heard that emergency tape a lot - it got played when Mark and Lard got switched back to Wes rehearsing in London by mistake, again at the end of their last show, only five days ago when OneClick Retro cut off by mistake (don't bother looking online, they've corrected it) and now twice in a show. Always they same Outkast/Sugababes combo - they should really update it, was clearly put together when the jingle package changed a year ago.

Isn't it called the "Emergancy DAT"? Mark and Lard always used to play it for a laugh. Moyles also used to play DAT chicken, as apparently it goes off after 10 seconds of silence. When it starts though, it can only be turned off after a certain length of time
