Loosely a tv based thread this...

As Radio 1 celebrates their 40th birthday, they are video streaming the entire day on their website. It's really good quality too and the best bit is the Radio 1 80's style astons that occasionally being put on screen.

The live video stream is only available on a rather small and obscure group of ISPs though!

You sure? As I'm on the lovely Tiscali (ahem!) and it's on there. I know Radio 1 wanted to do some video streaming and as you say it's only available for a certain number of ISPs but one of them wasn't Tiscali.

I can also confirm that it works on Tiscali Very Happy

I have been watching all morning, I really should get a life I know, It's great watching what goes on and the stations output for the whole day has been superb. R1 is streaming all day, great quality stream. I'm using BT by the way.

The video stream today is open to all people - its just like streaming video from a website and not using the multicast technology which is only available to a certain number of ISPs

A link then perchance? As I could only find details of the Multicast on the R1 website.

I think the best video moments was during Moyles and Blackburn this morning. They both really like they were enjoying each others company and was nice to Moyles on the desk rather than Vernon Kay bumbling about letting his producer cover up his mistakes.

This is facinating to watch. The changeover between programmes looks quite hectic Shocked
