To anyone who is a cameraman or knows the answer :
Why do the camera ops on QM seem to find it so hard to maintain focus when the presenter moves about?
Do you think it's because they are just not very good ?
Or is it to do with the highly lit studio ... does that reduce(?) depth of field meaning the 'in focus' range is quite small ?
... or something ... ??

The Mint is getting a load of calls from people who are actually watching Quizmania tonight - embarrassing stuff.

I think this says something about the average IQ of the people who ring these shows. Actually, I think these people actually have the numbers in their speed dial, which suggests to me that they are compulsive- which just goes to prove everything people have been saying about these shows targeting the vunerable.

If ITV are planning on keeping this idea of having Quizmania on ITV1 some days and The Mint on other days, this is going to become regular. A silly move -- it only confuses viewers and it makes the programmes even more cringeworthy than they were in the first place.

It shouldn't confuse viewers, it's hardly that complicated to ring the right number. The only people who are going to ring the wrong number are the drunk, the stupid, and the compulsive who have the numbers stored in their phones. And, anyway, surely it tells you who you're through to when you ring? There's no real excuse- if they've heard the message that they're through to The Mint, why do they continue to think they're they're through to Quizmania? And surely some of these people must have rung more than once to get through, so will have heard the "you're through to The Mint" message more than once! There's no excuse for these people.

But just think, if the quiz scamming came to an end, the morons would be left to their own devices and might decide to roam the streets .....

Well that is true, but I get the feeling that most people don't ever notice whether they're watching Quizmania or The Mint. They'll just think of it as "that phone-in quiz on channel 3".

hmm i think Quizmania are tricking people into thinking they have a new telephone number - but it looks the same to me. Obviously done to make people take note and avoid confusion with The Mint.

For some reason they are saying they have a new number when it's just the same number they've always had. The Mint probably have been complaining after their shambles of a show yesterday, although Wendi Peters did it for me. I don't mean it in that way i just like Cilla from Corrie. Rolling Eyes

Debbie's also referring to it as ITV Play rather than Quizmania or ITV1. Maybe what they're saying is that ITV Play has a new number on ITV1.

i like the idea of saying they have a new number to avoid confusion but for the sane amongst us, its quite insulting. Laughing We know it hasn't changed.

The fact that the phone number is always on screen just makes me question the intelligence of the people who still called the wrong one.....

"Make a word from these letters...aahahahahahaha" I'm getting fed up with that now - non-stop it was last night.

When I caught a bit of it the other night Debbie was talking to a puppet. When did that nonsense start to happen?
