Has anyone else other than me, wondered why QM haven't pushed the frontiers of technology and actually managed to monitor and respond to incoming emails when they are sent ?
Why the next day ??

This is hilarious. Nearly every call on The Mint is meant for Quizmania.
Stupid people for ringing the wrong number and stupid ITV for confusing these dumb viewers. Why is it so difficult to make sure you're ringing the right number for the right programme ? ITV must be making a killing out of confusing viewers.

God bless Quizmania - in a sea of quiz shows that think they're massively clever, treat their callers like crap and blag a ton of money, at least they know where they stand. The most clever thing about Quizmania is that it doesn't treat its viewers like idiots. It admits right off that there's nothing clever about what they're doing, so they treat it in a sort of jokey, let's get the team involved, almost Big Breakfast-esque way, which gets a) a cult following and b) the majority of people who stumble in drunk will still phone in anyway. It works, in an almost ironic but clever way.
The Mint gives the impression that it thinks it belongs on ITV1, and they've thrown celebrities at it to make it work, without realising that, to get some sort of credibility, you need a cult following. And it doesn't matter who you throw at it, the people watching and phoning will be drunk - throw someone clever or pretty at them, and they'll continue to watch.
Just one note to the presenter - it ain't ITV1 for viewers in most of Scotland, UTV land and Channel Television.

I'd say that Brian has gained a cult following. They're having to ask people which show they're watching before they take the answer now, what a mess.
The phone number is a couple of digits different to Quizmania.

The same happened to Quizmania when it first moved to ITV2 -- loads of people calling in with answers for The Mint. If ITV are planning on keeping this idea of having Quizmania on ITV1 some days and The Mint on other days, this is going to become regular. A silly move -- it only confuses viewers and it makes the programmes even more cringeworthy than they were in the first place.
