I think all the adoration for Kat and Cat is misplaced as well. They may be reasonable presenters but neither is highly attractive.
Well they do say its all thanks to the makeup artists - or "Brian did my makeup tonight" *yawn*.

But Quizmania gets the peaktime slot. Most of the money generated by both shows comes in at the weekend. ITV1 at the weekends is the prime slot.

Quizmania will be on weekends on Itv1 and the Mint will be on Itv 1 & 2 on weekdays. Quizmania will only be on Itv play monday to friday so all and all it's less quizmania

Personal preference and all that, but I don't think Kat is more than pretty.
as for Cat, she looked much better in her Avago days, her time there apparently sapped her youthful charms a bit ... understandably !

I think at the end of the day the real losers will be ITV because people will get confused and think that one or other of the shows has ended and will go away and watch something else like Big Brother.
ITV are doing what they usually do show utter contempt for their viewers, and indeed the same for the Presenters and staff that produce both shows. Quizmania got a chance but the same respect has not been shown to the Mint. Although it can be said that with this latest shake up Quizmania has lost a lot of hours on tv. Overall i think its a draw not a win by any side.

Don't know why everyone extolls the virtues of Quizmania over The Mint, yes they have some friendly presenters and the crew get involved and its a bit quirky but at the end of the day, it's single presenter, tower game, word search, speed round for cash same as every other quiz TV format.
The Mint brought a large set with numerous presentation areas, dual presenting, celebrity guests and members of the public, entertainment (ok I use the term loosely) in the studio, different prizes cash, cars, holidays and a varied type of games. Surely it is The Mint that is innovating in what is an already overcrowded genre.
I think some just come on here to big up Quizmania because Greggles might be looking in, but really both formats have their strengths and weaknesses. Quiz television is a genre that is starting to tire and consoldiation will become increasingly likely, so maybe they should merge to create QuizMint or MintMania ?
(PS - this is not an anti-Greggles post, I will only watch QM when Gregg is on, nobody else does it quite like he)
