There's a great team of presenters on Quizmania - I have been reliably informed, however, that the guy who's opening tonight's show at 0105 is being hailed as one of TV's future megastars.

By his agent.

And his mother.

And his kids.

And maybe one or two others.

Happy Christmas, all. Kiss Kiss.

Caught a bit of this last night and Greg was certainly on form. I'm not a huge fan of these type of channels but Quizmania certainly make it entertaining. Something enjoyable for insomniacs to watch, other than Bore 24 or Trisha repeats.

It was quite good i thought, at least it had proper questions with proper answers unlike some of the quiz channels/programmes

Yes I was a bit wary of it - but seems fair enough. The selection process is still no fairer than other channels but at least you can work out the answers instead of "Add the numbers" or "count the triangles".

Though one last night that had 7 sitcoms seemed a bit dubious. Though I guess you can't argue with the fact that they were all proper sitcoms and some very easy clues were being given out as the night went on, so you could guess them easily.

Not bad entertainment - and lovely to see Greg having a great time.

Well I must say Greg, after watching last night (finally on a TV not the web stream) I a) now know how "yakkabakkas" is pronounced. b) had a very entertaining night. Well done you!

Is this recognition by ITV that they can't make night-time programming work?

Looking at the schedules for the next few weeks it seems that from 1am-6am we have Quizmania, Nightscreen and the news for a lot of the nights.

In essence this is ITV shutting up shop and selling their airtime to a third party.

It doesn't really matter if the programme is any good or not -- what's happening here is no different to ITV going home and shoving Screenshop on in the dead-time.

Thank you all those of you who have said lovely things about me and the show... Merry Christmas to ya!

Those of you who DON'T like the programme - Ah, go on - have a Merry Christmas too... but I hope your turkey has fleas.

Just joshing!

Goodwill to all! Mwah!

I have just been watching Quiz Night Live on FTN when right in the middle of it popped up ITV's Quizmania with a girl asking people to ring in for this half completed quiz question!

My question is how/why would Quizmania pop up on FTN?
Do they both share the same studios?
Was one of them being pre-recorded?
