I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Greg gets later shifts as he deserves to be on a mainstream channel.

So Quizmania is a bit more than "How many kilograms?" for 3 hours then?

Definitely - Quizmania's got style!

I would just urge people who haven't seen it before and are immediately tarring it with the same brush as other quiz channels, to give it a chance. It is so much better than the other quiz channels out there. For starters it's entertaining, it's original (no "how many circles puzzles") and what's more, people actually do win on it!

Yes. They DO take lots of callers and people DO actually win money. Aside from that though, it is actually entertaining - not just a close up of a fake confused expression on a presenter's face for several hours whilst dragging out a seemingly impossible question.

Give it a chance - you might just like it Very Happy

Oh and the presenters are rather nice too! Cool

Why can't he tell everyone if it's known that Quizmania is on ITV and if he's that excited it must be him, lucky guy.

I wonder if we will see Quiz Call on Channel 4?

That would mean C4 having to admit they are linked to the channel!

MediaGuardian finally reported on this today.

They also say ITV will launch their own quiz channel, ITV Play, next year.

I think adding something like that is just cheap. I'm sorry but even if we're in 2005, we should be looking back when ITV first went 24 hours. It had goodish entertainment, not stupid 09000 telephone numbered quizes. I'm sorry but ITV1 is just making itself look worse. Sad

I noticed the other night C4 aired an ad for Quiz Call - first time I've seen it.

The way they do trailers now also mean it blends into the break.

There's a great team of presenters on Quizmania - I have been reliably informed, however, that the guy who's opening tonight's show at 0105 is being hailed as one of TV's future megastars.

By his agent.

And his mother.

And his kids.

And maybe one or two others.

Happy Christmas, all. Kiss Kiss.
