ITV2 are running the same film now, that was shown on the same channel three hours previous. Surely would it not make financial sense to put QM on? I thought it was meant to be on every night from 1-4?
I really don't understand the logic of ITV sometimes, I defend it often when it has unfair criticism - but, for this I can't.
Yes, the quality of a big budget Hollywood movie is FAR superior to a three camera studio quiz operation in Watford - but, I find it baffling, that ITV, in its new ethos of money-over-quality - is now forfeitting the chance to make some easy bucks by screening a film (again!).

Didn't realise it was on AGAIN!
Same goes for Me Myself and Irene which was repeated twice. Pathetic
It really is pure lazyness when they have nothing else to show (except in the case of Quizmania) so decide to rewind the tape and play it again.
No need for a fanfare, but I would like to announce that I'm now famous, having got through to Quizmania.
The quiz in question was Sea _______. Several callers suggested the usual, 'side', 'shell' and even 'weed'. But I was sure I had it in the bag. After all, it was Greggles, it was hardly going to be a serious answer.
So, I dialled the number, expecting the usual "Sorry you have been unsuccessful this time".... but no! The line didn't even ring, and Dame Debbie King's recorded voice squawked that I was now being put through to the studio. Nothing else. No 'turn your TV set down' or anything. But, being a seasoned pro, I reached for the mute button.
Immediately I could hear the Gregmeister's live voice through the telephone, before he said hello to me, and I promptly introduced myself.
He asked why I was watching QM at this time in the morning, to which I replied that I couldn't sleep... and because QM was so great. Some may call it grovelling. Others call it a first step on the ladder. My exclamation was greeted with a round of applause from the studio.
I was asked to repeat my compliment, and I obliged, but added "and it should be back on ITV1 where it belongs..."
Maybe got a bit carried away there, but hey, I'm a media luvvy now, I can be let off for the odd faux pas. Greggles told me firmly that they were perfectly happy on ITV2, to which I replied "Yes, of course".
On to the potentially defining moment itself. I gave my answer. Sea MONKEY. The perfect Greggles answer. But my confidence was short lived, and I was informed that is was not the answer on his card. I was swiftly cut off, presumably so I could cause no more chaos, to hear Digital Debbie confirming that I had been unsuccessful. A devastating second blow.
The agony wasn't over. Imagine my horror on discovering, just a few minutes later, the correct answer to be "Sea SALT". A simple, yet boring result.
Oh well, off to bed. Tomorrow is another day, and I'll no doubt attempt to use my new found fame to obtain some free clothes from Burtons. That's shortly before contacting a suitable agent.
Well done Whataday! I heard you, I couldn't sleep so flicked on QM about half three was it? Think it was the Beat The Presenter thing? Switched off soon after though so I didn't hear the final answer - what was it?
Edit:
Apologies, Sea SALT - serves me right for skim reading!
As Nigel Mitchell has just exclusively revealed (most probably because of a slip he made with a caller yesturday), Quizmania is going to be on ITV Play (as in the new channel) every night from 9pm - midnight.
Thus I suppose was the reason that it ended on all other channels, such as 181 on Sky.
