Well it looks like QM will come to an end this coming weekend on ITV1 as the listings for Radio Times for September 1 and 2 both list a replacement in the QM slot.................................................. THE MINT

Yup , endemic of how desperate these channels must be to get viewers and calls ... and what's most amazing is that it is easy to infer that they shouldn't be giving out so much money.Better spent on production staff and a polished final end product IMO

Quizmania fans across the nation can now breath a collective sigh of relief, Quizmania will continue on ITV Play, Weekdays 7.30pm - 1.30am from 4th September.

Good news, so rather than axing it like people assumed, they are actually moving it to the prime slot, meaning people will no longer have to stay up stupidly late to watch it

Presumably this will mean the Rover's Return Pub Quiz/Quiz Night and/or The Common Room will be axed

The Rovers thing was crap - and the Common Room has been terrible since it relaunched. I actually found the School Run quite watchable compared to some!

But for these quiz channels - this isn't primetime, as the prizes offered demonstrate. I saw quizmanina on in the afternoon the other day and the prize was a £100. Far from the £30,000 tower games they have overnight.

What would you rather watch in the evening? A proper comedy, drama or film or travel down to the 800's of the Sky EPG to watch QM?

So is The Mint going seven nights a week again or is this much vaunted new show going to take QMs slot at weekends?

If ITV are looking to save money, why spend more on another flaming quiz programme!

Um, just a stab in the dark, but maybe because they generate millions of pounds of profit?
