I can't see Play DJ lasting much longer when people realise you need to spend at least a tenner to get on the top ten leaderboard just for a 1 in 10 chance of winning £20.

How are people going to suddenly 'realise'? Its already right there in front of their faces. They also spend additional money on the chat txt too. I can see Play DJ taking over the whole channel. Its obviously very profittable.
How long before the channel just shows Play DJ and changes its name to the same?

What now? Quiztelly.com has announced The Mint is off too! To be replaced with a crappy sounding "The Glitter Ball!"

They claim the new show will use the same producers as The Mint, so hopefully it won't be a shoddy effort like ITV's Make Your Play.

I can't see it being that profitable if they can only give away £20 in prize money. My local fate has bigger prizes.
More like it's a cheap filler to fill in to the end of ITV Play.

Of course not, but neither is Fremantle's Quizmania or Two Way's Play DJ. However, unlike those two shows, The Mint did offer something different initally and had good castings, with the pairings of Beverley French and Brian Dowling, alongside established quiz presenters Cat Porter and Craig Stevens.
