According to the latest listings, Quizcall is going to start to be simulcast on E4 overnight from tomorrow

It looks like Channel 4 are taking an about turn, after months of pretending that they have nothing to do with this channel, they are now starting to promote it on their main services

I bet it won't be long before it appears late night on Channel 4 itself

C.4. had the right idea. Shove it all on a special channel specifically there for the quizzes, and deny it the light of day on the others.

I've always known that ity was by C.4., because I was told about its launch on a little box taht appeared on 'E.4.' telling me about the new channel.

Well, it kind of started out on E4 as "9 Live TV" a couple of years ago, and it's no great surprise.

I found it quite ironic after the C4 chief said at the Media Guardian festival a couple of weeks ago that Quizcall didn't have the "4" branding as it attracted a different type of viewers to the main channel that it was constantly plugged in the daytime TV line up for a couple of weeks.

It's still hit and miss depending on the host, but it has improved since launch - they just need to get rid of the tacky noticeboard style games.

Also, I see little point in simulcasting something on two digital channels - they would be better off creating something in the E4 brand and adapting it to work with the channel!

Is it continuing on Five then? I'd expect once they start their digital channels that quiz TV slots will crop up on them too!

What a stupid move, I thought Quiz Call had the right idea to keep it's branding away for 4's, Quiz Call is an awful show and like most of the quiz shows a huge con,

E4 has always been one of my favourite channel and now they are going to fill it with this trash! Mad

Maybe this is their way of making us more greatful for Friends repeats. It's no longer the worst thing about the channel.

i would think channel 4 might find it hard to defend simulcasting quiz call, whilst itv are simulcasting itv play, given that channel 4's remit is to provide alternative programming.

Where is this info from anyhow - the C4 site suggests the usual E4 overnight listings.

I wonder what they will do on E4+1?! Broadcast the actual live show, or block the phone number?...
