Well I need to know what the presenters' names are!

Does anybody out there know what each (or some) of the presenters' names?

Channel 166 (earlier comment by SCOTLAND TODAY ADDICT) I haven't had the pleasure of that pacific channel yet!
Will watch a bout 40 mins of it and I'll get back to you! If that's ok?

I found myself watching ten minutes of this channel the other night. They had people counting the pounds again - so I set the HDD recorder and went about the rest of my channel viewing, coming back after an hour or so to see that they'd finally moved on to the next question. But rewinding back to the point when the answer was given (by which stage they were declaring "it's something between 151 and 155"), they didn't state how the actual answer (of 152, I think) was arrived at!

"£ancy that", I thought.... sorry, typo...

I wouldn't describe it as "morally irresponsible". People should be able to take responsibility for themselves. The price of the call is clearly stated at the bottom of the screen so it should be easy to make an informed choice about whether to call or not. To me, it's no different to going out and spending money on lottery tickets or bingo. There are always going to be people, sadly, who will spend all night hitting redial on the phone and running up a huge phonebill, because they haven't set themselves any sort of limit, just as there will be people who will spend their last fiver on scratchcards or at the bookies.

Puzzles on these channels seem to vary from ridiculously easy to impossibly difficult, but there IS an answer to all of them - up to you if you want to ring in and give it a try.

Personally and ultimately, I do think there are far too many of these sorts of channels around at the moment and they are all much of a muchness. I don't particularly enjoy a close up shot of a presenter looking confused for three hours. The one exception to this is probably Quizmania, which at least makes an effort to entertain - whether or not your opinion of these sorts of channels is "rip off" or not.

Just my opinion for what it's worth. Confused

I disagree. The questions are, to be generous, wooly. There is not a single way of solving the puzzle - it depends on how you interpret the question. The answers should be given to EVERY question together with an explanation.

Point taken.
They should at the very least always give the answer. I must admit I've not watched all the channels to know whether this is the case. At least if they did that, you would have some chance of working out how they arrived at the answer, even if an explanation isn't given (which I wouldn't necessarily expect) Being somewhat mathematically challenged, I've seldom tried to work them out for myself, but then being that unsure of an answer, I would also be unlikely to ring in.

Yeh but they do always give the answer. When someone phones up and get's it right - wey hey! That's your answer?

Jonnie Very Happy

EDIT: Any idea as to the name of the presenter who looks and sounds a bit like Rachel Stevens (she is normally on at night before the snotty one that is really nice when the lively, quick, upbeat music is on but gets nasty as soon as tension arises!)

EDIT 2: The snotty one mentioned above is Kait Borsay

The only others I can think of are Craig Rowe and Steve Hyland
