hi all, i am a new member of this forum and have to admit i fine quizcall compulsive viewing, sad i know, but i did win 3 days after launch, and 4 times since, so find i am listening(not always watching) for most of the time when i'm not at work. I have never telephoned, i only do web entries and have won £360 to date, it takes a lot of time to keep doing the web thingy bit, but i do get about 5 or so callbacks a week.
I agree with what has been said about the time it takes to take a call, and feel sorry for all those who are ringing in at 60p a time, surely when the phone bill comes they will think again!
count the pounds puzzles and like games i think are not really worth entering, there are too many possible answers, they have different ways of working them out, and getting the right answer from one phone call seems impossible, i have tried to work out how they do it but am always 30 or40 out, my advice to people who do watch this show is enter on the web if you have the time to keep doing it, quickfire rounds are the best time to get selected and you will get through at some point.
anyway sorry to make your eyes blur(long post)

That seems very sensible adivce Del. Clearly there is money to be made; but using the internet to enter is the key to it.

Perhaps if lots and lots of members try it, the operators will be forced to reconsider how profitable the channel is.

Edit : The Answer was 186... how?

So people count the diamonds. Only diamonds. It's been running for hours I think, whenever I turnover it's there still. I've heard people spout out the same answers over and over.

To me there are 3 diamonds to each 'diamond' on the card. There are 4 diamonds in each card corner composed of 3 seperate diamonds. Thus adding 12 to each card there. Then the total of the card number each composed of 3. To me this totals 240... but that's not the answer. I also got 319 and it sounds crazy enough to be right but I got lost when counting them all so it could be wrong.

Anyone else?

Oh she is now telling us later on they will insist only on calling if you have the correct answer - I think all the callers think they have the answer.

So, can anyone out there tell us how they get that answer above?

I presume the answer was only got by the presenters saying higher/lower, as they always do, and anrrowing the possible range to the point where the answer is got by elimination, rather than by doing any working out.

Personally I don't think the channels like this are as stupid to do that every night of the week. The answer has to really be in there somewhere - somehow because eventually someone wins the money and they loose it.

On the other hand The Big British Farcicle of a quiz on TTV has been running for days with the same puzzle that non-one can get and I've heard the same answer given day in day out.... that is some wierd addition going on there.

Laughing I happened to be flicking through channels earlier. Paul Hendy was doing Count the Triangles and the recorded telephone/automated graphics system malfunctioned! We had one bloke saying "is it 12?" constantly. Nervously, Paul just kept reading out the phone number all the time! Razz

This con is beginning to fail! Laughing
