Is there likely to be a 30th year anniversary special, like there was for the 25 years?

That being said, I was surprised the first Question Time show with Robin Day was going to be on the iPlayer at all, never mind be available for an entire year! Somebody even went to the trouble of adding on-the-fly Subtitles to the BBC Parliament transmission, though they don't seem to have made it to the iPlayer. Shame it has the wrong picture and ident though.

Obviously, I don't know how iPlayer works regarding uploads but perhaps it was uploaded via the current series rota (if that makes sense). There do seem to be a few minutes cut off near the end due to the programme before overrunning.

Watching the Parliament repeat.

Seems to be a lot of black screen/dropout.

Was it like this on BBC 1 Thursday, or is it a Parliament transmission issue?

I don't know why, but I was waiting for a punchline after that.

Anyway, apparently John Humphrys is to deputise.

Interesting choice - I don't think John has had a regular TV gig since On The Record was axed in 2002, would have assumed Paxman or similar would be the deputy. Could just be a case of being available though...

Mastermind?

I'd have thought Huw Edwards would be first choice - I just can't imagine John Humphreys really interacting with an audience.

He can't retire yet - I think I heard a while back that he's pencilled in to anchor covrage of the death of the Queen... and she's still holding on for a while yet!
