Does anyone know if C4 will repeat Queer As Folk again or a new series? Or if BBC Three / or BBC one will show QAF USA again?

Dunno but both series of the British QAF have been out on DVD for ages.

Never seen the American version but I'm told it's better. Can't help you on that one though.

I guess they might - because it's been refreshing to watch the series again on E4, despite a 2 week break for grrrr Teen Big Brother!!! So if it does well C4 may decide that its worthy of a, I guess, late nite repeat!

Season 1 of QAF-Us was on BBC Choice. I suspect subsequent seasons may have fallen foul of the overseas quota now that BBC Three has launched.

I think the reason why (Or a good reason why) E4 are showing it again is because its five years since this groundbreaking piece of Television first hit our screens (And a good excuse for E4 to advertise the fact a New DVD of the series is out). I don’t think Channel 4 will show it again (Or so soon after E4 have). By having it on E4 it hopefully just refreshes everyone’s mind about how great it was and hopefully they will buy the DVD and make some money for Channel 4.

As for QAF USA, Well Yes Season 1 was on CHOICE and the Channel did buy season 2 for this summer, but as BBC THREE took over and with this issue about only being able to show a certain amount of Foreign stuff, I don’t think THREE will show Season 2 this year. The last E-mail from THREE told me that they were having 'Contractual problems' so were unable to show it. I think it may be something with the BBC going FTA, and viewers outside the UK being able to pick it up.
Well anyway, the BBC's rights to QAF USA Season 1 and 2 end in 2004 and it looks VERY unlikely that they will re-new the contract, so it leaves the way for another Channel to pick up the show and show it from the start again. I think a good contender could be Living TV, with them showing Will and Grace and Queer eye for the straight guy, QAF USA would fit perfectly into the schedule. I can’t see Channel 4 going for it. They were offered it first time round before anyone, and turned it away so that’s how BBC CHOICE got it and mucked it all up. Bloody CHOICE!!!!

Finally, Interesting to note, for those of you who have a big enough Satellite dish, if you point it to 19.2 degrees you should be able to pick up the Free to Air Italian 'Gay TV' channel. In a few weeks time they will start to show QAF USA Season 1 and 2 after that. As its an Italian Channel, it might be dubbed into Italian or may just still be in English but with Italian subtitles, but which ever way, at least its one option for getting to see Season 1 & 2 of QAF USA.
