Puffin's Pla(i)ce: Lunchtime Edition

A good edition of PP today. Firstly Kevin commented on whether CITV could get away with the Big Brother theme on Starfinder.

He then went on to promote today's football, mentioning that the 5pm K/O was on Channel, and the 7.45pm K/O could be seen as highlights at 11pm on Channel. He said he'd learnt his lesson, because usually he'd go and promote the BBC live showing instead!

Channel News with Kevin Owen at 4.15pm came from the newsroom so they didn't even bother going into the main studio. In between the two shows was a bit of Time, Temp and Tide, with the clock showing 4:12.

Oscar Puffin has come out on top with these schedule changes hasn't he. Firstly PP wasn't supposed to be on at all, and now its actually on for longer than it usually would be, a massive 13 minutes!

Kevin on Wednesday said that if he was the boss of ITV1, but he isn't and doesn't he know it (!) , he'd extend CITV to 5.30pm all the time. Then today it was an England special (so notice how the Channel islands are getting in on the England spirit) with england flags and stuff in the studio.

Oscar Puffin seems to have started wearing clothes as well, including a baseball cap for some reason, although everyone know the hedgehog is the better character!

Ah, Oscar's clothes, he's worn those before, are they yellow? Looks quite cool in them, Harry the Hedgehog is great, and is shown as he is the only other one to have his own name caption, along with Kevin and Oscar, I always feel sorry for Ros (the Racoon) for it.

It was interesting him saying about extending CiTV to 5:30, but it depends on the ratings, if it gets lower ratings then what's usually on at 5 then it's a waste.
I expect My Parents Are Aliens may have pciked up a few extra viewers yesturday with CBBC not being on after 4:45, so viewers without digital of any kind may have switched to CiTV.

They could put the last series of Sabrina on at 5, if not everyday have it on with MPAA and another show throughout the week. Obviously it goes on what itv want to do, though I wish Kevin was ITV boss, he would do a damm site better than currently.

Did you see puffins plaice today, when kevin was kicking the ball, and stephanie the penguin did a back flip as a request from a viewer.

Puffin's Pla(i)ce has a new presenter called Lisa from Devon , Kevin just introduced her now.

I saw this, but I came in late, so what is exactly going on? Is Kevin going to be leaving? Or will this just give Kevin time off, i.e. they work alternate days or half of the week?
Or will they both present together like today?

I too saw this new woman, didn't like her much. If she replaces Kevin i will stop watching.

Did anyone notice how the CSO was going a little wrong. The effect of the CSO was showing on the female presenters bra, and so basically her bra was emitting static, it was hilarious to watch!

Perhaps they should just show it later at night then..

Yeah, LOL! I hope this Lisa woman isn't replacing Kevin, it just wouldn't be the same, especially since I've been watching for about two months now...

I also like the way Channel are showing more "Channel-branded" idents than usual, sad that up here they seem to love the ITV1 idents. Oh, and I also saw the Puffin ident - makes a change from Katie Derham, no?

hate to disagree with you again..mr stabby, but i think you are wrong. She looked liked she was enjoying being there, the little video they made of her out side was very cool..really took me back..give her time to settle in, i bet it is not easy doing that kind of tv...again i go by my children and they seemed to like her..best quote from my little girl..."is that kevins wife?"...

Who ever takes over from kevin has a hard job to follow he has made that show his own...its 10 mins of un scripted madness..he does things that im sure is down to confidence what he is doing.. i get the feeling he is bringing her in and helping her though it instead of just walking away and channel finding a replacement...remember look at those awful citv presenters...as for your comments on the background showing up we have it on tape and it was the background on her and kevin and oscar..he did say they were haveing problems...sorry to shatter your um..thoughts...i also agree with andrew...puffin has really stood its ground recently with all the football changes..and those idents..genuis...

on another note..did u manage to see the "riots" on channel news?..their shots went out on itv news channel..and other gmtv i think...what with that and simply the best..channel so far in my books with all the half an hour programmes they have being showing..channel is makeing a stand..and is i feel its own itv output..
