They showed some of the old title sequences at the beginning.. and footage of some of the previous presenters!

Yeah all the way back to black & white.
I think Kevin was right that he did come along and save Oscar really, by the looks of those old presenters.

A nice show, I still can't work out how Oscar was blowing the party blower though!

Would have been slightly better if they'd have shown the old titles in full instead of just 3 secs of each followed by the full current version. Would have liked to have seen how the name of the programme formed up at the end.

Oh and James, I liked the 'Cheery Actor' reference!

Yeah, I think he did too... poor guy! That's how people are going to remember him!

I think he might've known that "James in West London" was actually me as he started talking about TVForum straight after reading my email...

And how Oscar was blowing his blowy thing, I assume a tube of air was attached to it passing through his body!

What, you mean someone was blowing up his ar..... never mind! Razz

Wow... been a little while since anyone posted here.

Most notable thing that happened today - the green band that was holding Kevin's antlers on was clashing with the green screen for the background image, so at times he had a rather funny shaped head and antlers floatin in thin air! (why he was wearing antlers I'm not too sure!)

A similar but unavoidable thing was happening with the picture of the lost dog recently.

Oh - and any progress on getting this video captured?

Don't forget that Kevin is on Channel 103FM tomorrow morning...
Of course, if you're not in the Channel Islands you can listen to him
online!

Can anyone at least describe all the titles?

Probably a bit difficult to describe - particularly to those with no imagination! Laughing

Come on guys! Surely SOMEONE can put a movie file together of Oscar's birthday episode - if it hasn't been recorded over by now!!

Whoops!

Did anyone spot the top of a head behind Mr Puffin when he was standing up today?

I didn't see Thursdays but I presume there's no Puffin's Pla(i)ce yesterday or on Easter Monday.

It's getting very close to when it moves to its new slot within the ITV Lunchtime News, there's only 8 proper 3.05pm shows left as we know it!

Surely it's 9 isn't it, well 9 weekday, and 4 weekend slots.
I wonder how far with the design they are.
Is anyone hoping for certain elements for keeping? Like for me, I'm hoping the desk stays, it wasn't the same at Christmas and when they went to Guernsey, it didn't seem right.

I'm actually surprised at how big the studio is, especially when they play with the balls or something and Kevin goes back to the CSO sheet, you can see his feet and that sheet is quite large!

On Friday 8th April it'll be on at 2.05pm due to the Royal Wedding, so the last 3.05pm slot will be a week on Thursday!
