This Question Time type show could also be done on a shoestring budget. Just use the Channel Report studio, and stick a black background in with a plasma TV and 2 chairs, no problem!

Indeed, and a complete opposite of last year. Remember last year we had Puffin's Pla(i)ce links in between CITV programmes on the days between Xmas and New Year. This year there's nothing until January 2nd!

Did anyone capture it?

I like the Channel TV christmas message with the cartoon of kids and Oscar playing in the snow, very nice touch.

It's vaguely familiar though, did they use it last year?

Why is it when I ask questions in this thread it gets ignored!

Not sure if they used it last year, Ben, they might have done.

9 days later

Kevin and Oscar returned tonight with the first Puffin's Pla(i)ce of 2005. Still from the retro Christmas set with the big orange armchair. No doubt because the normal set was never trimmed up!

Kevin said that this is how he started doing the show , from a big armchair, following on from his predecessors.

The question is, who was Kevin's immediate predecessor?

I can't for the life of me remember. Didn't one of the continuity announcers at the time do it for a while, someone like Elaine Carver or Jane Stuart? Damned if i can remember.

Speaking of Channel, i saw one of their old Continuity Announcers presenting Bid-Up.tv the other day.

Today's show should have had an announcement at the start warning that there may be strong language from the outset Smile

Basically Kevin was reading some news about Sandra Bullock, but said something slightly different!

Harry the Hedgehog couldn't believe his ears!

Of course now he can send the tape into TV Naughtiest Blunders 47 and be seen on national ITV.
