On this afternoon's show Kevin commented on how in previous years they'd done the regional results for Record of the Year but don't any more.
He also said that they will be on air with their 7 days of christmas specials every day until the day before Christmas Eve. He said they could have been on on Christmas Eve straight after CITV at 11.05 but arn't doing, making out this was because he's doing his xmas shopping at that time.
In a complete change of plan there now will be an Oscar Puffin Christmas Special. A full half hour of Kevin, Oscar, Harry and co will now air at 11.05am on Christmas Eve. This is in a change to the advertised programme.
Did anyone watch the show when they showed old footage of one of the members of G4 performing on Channel Report from about 2 years ago. Nice exclusive there
I caught a trail before Puffin's Pla(i)ce yesterday for the Christmas show; looks exciting, plenty of OB work and what looks like Kev inoperating Oscar...
Also, Kev mentioned that he would be on Channel Report last night to chat about this year's Christmas show, he seemed dead excited about it too, sadly I didn't catch it, how did it go?

lots seem to be going on in the world of Puffin's Pla(i)ce! A friend of mine met Kevin Oscar and Harry at the kids party at the jersey hospital, he said kevin was great with all the kids, my friend also said talking to him that hkevin did not know if he would be doing Puffins Pla(i)ce for much longer saying that he was getting a little out of place or too old I think and it was time for someone else to have a go. So I guess we shall have to wait and see!
The Xmas show looks good he keeps saying that he has gone to all the islands, the jersey royal xmas episode, xmas compertition etc..i remember last years puffin show it was really good showing children from all the islands doing exciting things for christmas...im sure it will be funny as well!!
On Chanel Report they had kevin live sat next to the new guy (is he still new) and that young stand in for is it christina? oscar was between him and kevin and they just quizzed kevin and he just plugged the show they showed some clips was a good bit with kevin oscar harry on a train.. was quite funny then harry appeared and kevin had oscar on his lap, was ok but i wish harry has squirted them with his water pistol!! but then thats just me
So The Annual Oscar Puffin Grand Christams Special Show is on Friday Christmas Eve 11.05am after CITV should be good!!! Tell me is there another ITV station that does as much or cares as much to do what kevin and the Puffin team do every year?

It's amazing how people on here nearly p*ss themselves when someone mentions the word Central on an ITV news broadcast by accident these days, yet they don't even take a notice of Channel TV. Regional name, no ITV1 Branding, regional idents, regional news, regional programs, regional BBC broom cupboard style kids show with regional station mascot, regional cartoon, VERY regional adverts, and to cap it all 4:3 transmission. You'd think we were still in the golden days of ITV living in the Channel Islands. Yet this company is very much ignored. Why I don't know...

Regional name, regional idents, regional news, regional programs, regional BBC broom cupboard style kids show with regional station mascot, regional cartoon, VERY regional adverts, and to cap it all 4:3 transmission. you forgot to mention the lack of any regional non-news programmes, which isn't ideal. i'm sure theres tons of history and local interest on the islands that could fill a "heart of the country" style show.
i know channel are on a budget, but using just one of the regional slots for a non-meridian programme would be a nice gesture.
I mentioned that in a Survey they did on their website. I suggested a "Question Time" type program as local politics and current affairs type program would fit the Channel Islands very well.

with the islands having their own parliament (or whatever they call it) i would have imagined there'd be more news than you'd expect for your average population of X00,000 people. not forgetting the usual regional news fodder of and finalys and the kind of stuff that used to appear in itv regions live afternoon shows.
i wouldn't be happy if i was an islander - 15 minute news and 15 minute regional programme.
just like UTV, channel are good in some ways - but fail their viewers in other ways.
