Puffin's Pla(i)ce: Lunchtime Edition

The jersey royals was i think a really good slot..again showed that Puffins Pla(i)ce has really moved on from just birthdays...i heard that the episode shown last week was a pilot to see what the reaction would be like...so im sure the animation will improve..it was very simple and my 2 liked it because it was local and got the joke!...fair play to them!

Got the sense today at 5pm that kevin seems bored.. i have said it before but why dont channel use him on other programmes?..but then if he moved on would the show still work?..do you think channel realise this? and are trying to make as much of oscar while he is rideing high?....discuss...

The thing is Channel don't make other programmes, well not really. The only other things they do are Channel Report, Report Sport and Crimeline. Ok occasionally they do a regional program about potatoes or somethin but i couldn't imagine him doing that could you?

Kevin said today he's off on holiday to London in a few weeks and Lisa will be running the show whilst he's off.

Maybe whilst he's in London he could have a chat with Nigel Pickard, 'you know you're wanting to move CITV out of Birmingham, well why not give the contract to us at Channel, we're cheap, it's got a good retro feel to it, kids love retro these days, plus it'll look good for your production quotas'!

Following that talk about Oscar having a voice, could you imagine Kevin bantering with Swag, it'd be hilarious!

Bit of a slip-up on today's show! I think Kevin Owen finished a bit early, or he finished on time but the playout system went down so we were left with him in the newsroom shuffling his papers for a few seconds, then black and then the newsroom came on again but this time it was empty and then it went to black again for a little longer before Kevin P appeared (no ident or intro before Puffin's Pla(i)ce) and blamed it on the weather!

on todays show..lisa presented on her own and did a good job to keep the show moveing with no birthdays!!!....but then kevin stormed the studio and took all by surprise..must have been watching over the show i guess...which backs up my theory that he is handing the show over...

Also on a side note i saw that kevin owen is leaving channel today was his last news..so they must be getting new presenters...is it all change at channel tv???

That's a shame, cuz Kevin Owen was the best news presenter since Paul Brown.

I say sack off Jenny Kirk, and get Elaine Carver and Eric Blakeley in the hot seat, they are both good.

Ahh so thats why we've seen more of Elaine Carver. I like her, shes been with Channel for years, and it's always good to see her do Channel Report. I don't know why, but Jenny Kirk just made me wanna throw a brick at my TV

dont channel have a big turn around of presenters? and all the ones who hav ebeen there a while do the late night news?...

mean while..is kevin p going as well??...seems he always mentions it in jest...but if kevin owen and jenny kirk and others are going..is it a case of jumping ship?..we all know channel dosent make that many shows so i guess they just all must want to move on??..

my family are more concernd about kevin leaving Oscar and harry..i really dont know if we would watch it any more...

Today was one of the best Puffin's Pla(i)ce's I've seen for a while. Kevin and Lisa were both on together and did well with the banter, they ran away with it so long they didn't have chance to read the listings out of the Radio Times and comment on the crapness of Let's Roll with Roland Butter

Lisa told Kevin off for ingaging in 'in-jokes' between himself and his director, which neither Lisa or us viewers can hear!

Kevin mentions Lisa's on her own from Sunday as he's off to London for a week's holiday, he says he's got lots of important people to see, places to go, important meetings, he accompanied this talk with lots of over the top winking nudge nudge wink wink say no more!

Oh and to those of you locals, how many channel islands are there then, and what are they all called, Kevin named about 7 or 8 today!?

the main ones are Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, but there are loads of little ones too. Sark, Herm and Brecqhou being some of them. Brecqhou is owned by the famous Barclay brothers although i think they recently sold it, i don't know i'm not sure on that one! Sark has a small population and they don't have cars there. Only Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark have a population though.

Yeah todays show was very good...Kevin has been on good form this week so far..we think its because he knows he is going away on holiday...

lisa again today really was much better and is now keeping up with kevin when he goes off on one..my fav today was...after lisa was rubbing harrys tummy to try and convince him not to go with kevin..
kevin said you can do that to me and i will stay..in fact thats how channel convince me to sign a new contract and stay another year they tickle my tummy...ha ha ha...that and when lisa said that on bank holiday monday itv are showing a "good movie for kids" kevin said something like.."er you sure? that dosent sound like itv..a movie for kids?..not a james bond film..ha ha very funny..plus the dig every day at 5pm about heartbeat...greengrass did it..
