Oh well looks like I'll have to cancel my 1.15 tomorrow so I can see the legend back on the box, Harry I'm talking about.
I have been watching a lot of Puffin's Pla(i)ce lately (what??) Sam's definitly getting better with each day.
Anyway will be good to see you back on the programme Kevin. As for future work, having seen that Simon Parkin has resurfaced doing the weather for Westcontry, maybe that's a career path to consider?

Mr Pamplin! Good to hear from you! I'll have to watch your comeback on the ChannelOnline media player later tonight when I return to London and my super fast broadband connection, as I'm away from home at the moment using a dodgy dial-up connection!
It was as though you've never been away Kevin. Though Sam is doing a great job, and even though I'd never heard of the programme 5 years ago, I'm sure you couldn't have been that bad!
Good luck in the future, but saying that with cuts everywhere, and ITV even getting rid of Holly & Stephen (how mental are they?) it looks like quiz channels are the only way forward unfortunately
Hello again my friends...just to say im back again this weekend covering for sam...and im sure I will pop back on b4 i leave for England at the end of the month
Sad to see CITV now being cut more and more, I can understand why ITV are doing it..same goes for the bbc. I would love to see more shows like Puffins Pla(i)ce but sadly childrens tv is going in a whole new direction but you never know.
i know what you mean by the only work for us kind is quiz show channels, i will never knock a job money is money and its better to be working than out of work im looking forward to getting to the mainland and getting right in the mix or working at your local mcdonalds/blockbuster/pizza hut etc etc
Who knows, Kevin, there could even be a job for you on Capital Radio - if you replaced Johnny Vaughan as the breakfast presenter I'd start listening to Capital again!
Interesting to hear Sam mention something earlier this week about a new Puffin's Pla(i)ce website coming sometime soon - weren't we promised one a long while back when they launched channelonline.tv?
And on a similar note, what happened to the plans for Puffin's Pla(I)ce to have a text message service?
It's not on the ChannelOnline player for some reason, but there was a bitt of a cockup on today's show... Sam managed to pull out the wire on his microphone so he was left on screen in complete silence for a couple of minutes before a Puffin's Pla(i)ce slide came up for a little while whilst the problem was fixed, which left today's show slightly shorter than usual!

I think the greatest part of that whole break down today was the start, just for how Sam loudly bellowed "Hello!" whilst walking over and ripping apart the sound deck before continuing to talk about the lost cat, even though he knew we couldn't hear him. Lovely Puffin's Pla(i)ce slide though.
If you watch today's (Friday's) show on the ChannelOnline player, Sam does indeed say that unfortunately they will only be having their slot just before 3pm... a real shame, but of course those corporate b*****ds at ITV PLC don't give a damn do they... as long as they have more time to pump out their crap programming and get their moneys worth they're happy.
In other news, there was a bit more news regarding the show's new website, although if the show's going to be reduced to a couple of minutes long soon, is there really any point in launching a website now? And also Buster the dog made an appearance today for the first time in a while!
The regional weather will be moving to just after CITV rather than just before it (that was the plan last time I heard anyway) so it's possible Puffin could move too....
