well done Tyne Tees. I haven't visited the site for ages but it looks like they are gradualy building it up....if it only it wasn't Flash and graphics heavy!
What do all the different regions do between the regional news and CITV?
I know that CENTRAL have a community programme here.

Anglia have regular community service announcements called Anglia Action and even have a department in Ipswich to which viewers can write for more info. They normally air in the afternoon but there was one tonight just before Coronation Street.
Good, so it actually seems then that it's mainly the Carlton stations that don't bother anymore... bloody Carlton
As for the 3.15 slot, well TTTV just have a longer than normal local news and a Crimestoppers and Community Link afterwards. On Wednesdays they have 'Joblink', which has a bloke in the old continuity studio reading out job openings. It's like Jobfinder but the Tyne Tees version has been going for far, far longer than Jobfinder (they had it in the 70's but called Where The Jobs Are...)
Before in-vision continuity was axed they had 'Lookaround', not Border's local news but the continuity announcer reading out charity events around the region, smaller stuff that wouldn't fit in a PSA. Many stations had (and some still do) a birthday slot at this time (TTTV used to until IVA went at 5.10pm).
TTTV are as well -- and their version is like about a 7th generation copy now as they've changed the animation a few times, so it's starting to sound a bit rough, in mono with the bass turned far too high.... makes my TV rattle if the sound's turned up too much

After the mid-afternoon Central News, Carlton show
Just A Moment
, which tends to be a religious figure (e.g. Priest/Bishop etc) talking about their work.
HTV had a different tune when Darlows Estate Agents sponsored Crimestoppers. I later saw that tune on a commercial on Westcountry. It had a v/o 'HTV Crimestoppers: In association with Darlows Estate Agents - united in the fight against crime!'
Wouldn't it have been a gem if they'd gone bankrupt due to illegal trading or something?
I think Tyne Tees also had a different tune for Crimestoppers very briefly, when they started being sponsored by Staybrite Windows. They adopted the same titles and music as YTV (the music YTV still uses) but then after a couple of days they reverted back to the 'proper' Crimestoppers music.
Am I right in thinking that YTV re-recorded the Crimestoppers jingle with some really dodgy brass playing? Sounded really strange...
