The channels in the title of this thread (and maybe more) are all off air with an apology caption and have been for at least the past two days.
What do they have in common? The same owner or just the same uplink provider or other service provider?
Psychic and Soul is on Sky channel 885 and the others are scattered across the adult section (900+). It is about 7 or 8 channels in total. Could be interesting if the company that owns the EPG slots has folded. It is not everyday 7 or 8 slots become available on the Sky EPG.
If Controversial TV is down, it must be a government/Murdoch/royal family (all lizards) conspiracy.
Bluebird are streaming the apology caption on their website... http://www.bluebird.tv/(warning, may contain breasts) but are making no mention of the problem, not even on the forum as far as I can see.
It is mentioned on that Bluebird forum, a technical problem, there is one suggestion that an intern at Arqiva is to blame - so there you go. According to that forum everything will be back on Friday lunchtime. What a relief that will be.
Phew, thank gawd for that ... a potential World crisis averted!
I don't know if it is quite a world crisis, but I'm sure these channels must be losing a fortune by not being on air for several days - the channels are still off air today.
For those interested, Bluebird are now broadcasting a limited service on their website along with this message from yesterday...
The webstream is live.
Our satellite uplink service provider - Arquiva- has failed to complete the necessary works to have the TV uplink live tonight.
Sadly, we were forced to get a High Court Order at 6.01pm tonight compelling Arquiva to effect playout from our rack equipment on 908 etc. Arquiva has failed to comply and claims that it will comply by Saturday mid-day.
As you will appreciate, we have done all that we can do to make Arquiva fulfill their legal obligations. We trust that they will do so on saturday morning.
Please feel free to complain to Arquiva: their website & email contacts are online.
In the meantime, you can at least see the BigBlue studios on the webshow. And our babes will very much enjoy spending the compensation damages which Arquiva will now have to pay.]BlueBird[/URL]]The webstream is live.

and another message saying they might be back on air this evening. Controversial TV/Psychic & Soul don't seem to be saying much at all. There webstream is also down...http://www.justin.tv/edgemediatv

See now you've put that warning, I must have a look now
Reeks of BS, the whole thing. Still don't understand what's causing the problem, is there another uplink facility putting the apology caption up?
I doubt it, as I imagine they're being uplinked to Arqiva owned transponders. Essex Babes is on the same transponder as ESPN Classic, E Entertainment and Nick Jr +1, all of which are on air as normal, so it doesn't seem like an uplink issue. My best guess would be that those channels are going through one of Arqiva's playout facilities, which must be experiencing a problem.
The thing I find strange is that Arqiva is the biggest and most experienced transmission provider, so if the problem was solely at Arqiva's end I would have expected them to rectify it very quickly either by fixing the fault or transfering the channels to their other facilities.
There seems to have been some changes with a few of these channels now broadcasting programming.
200 - Controversial tv (still broadcast apology caption)
885 - WatchmeTV.TV (still broadcast apology caption)
908 - Babeworld.tv (still broadcast apology caption)
950 - LivexxxBabes (now on air)
951 - Blue Kiss TV (no satellite signal is being received)
954 - Nothern Birds (now on air, same programming as 950)
955 - Essex Babes (now on air, same programming as 950)
960 - Live 960 (now on air, same programming as 950)
Can someone else check what 951 is doing. I am getting "no satellite signal is being received" which is 99% of times a local problem but it seems to be the only channel effected on my box at the moment.
I'm not sure if channels 950, 951, 954 and 955 showing the same thing is unusual or not. I know some of them share content anyway and only go their own way later in the evening.
