I just looked down yesterday's terrestrial tv channel listings and was amazed to see this amount of programming in just one day all on design and property. There was "House Invaders", "Design Wars", "Home From Home", "Other People's Houses" and "Grand Designs" ...and that's without the popular one "Hot Properties".
Do you think we are heading for a complete overkill here very soon?
Well, Grand Designs is always excellent, while Other People's Homes is not a bad watch either (she's the Simon Cowell of property!).
C4's best show however is Property Ladder - the host tells them what not to do to avoid making a loss - they ignore her advice - they make a huge profit - she says it's only because of the rising market.
I think C4 will possibley be increasing their amount of Homes programmes as it will be the basis of their new More4 channel.
Talking of property shows: I Want That House - blatant rip off of A Place in the Sun.
I wonder how "Parkinson" fits in amongst all those Home & Living programmes? Maybe a subtle marketing device for the future.
"Get yourself a comfy Parkinson and relax in the splendour of your own home!!!"
