Ahh... I thought I recognised the man with John Leslie and now I remember! Did they actually get them together, or was it clever camera angles with only one on screen at once?

Very good video, great to see the real Mel B in it (my favourite Bo Selecta sketches are the Mel B ones). I was surprised because I'd imagine she'd be quite offended by her portrayal in the sketches!

Shame that the real Elton John wasn't in the video.

I think the song would be better if it had been pitched shifted to be more in tune.

LOL! True about Mel B.

Yes John and Matthew were together. Didn't you see the bit where they sang the chorus with John Leslie's arm around Wright?

Lol - it all washed over me really. I guess Leslie will be trying to regain his respect and hating Wright wouldn't help!

I will probably buy this, if only to get it to number one over the Pop Idol people! Does anyone know how high the ratings or DVD sales for Bo' Selecta are?

In regards to the series, I think he should do less of the same characters such as Craig David, Michael Jackson and David Blaine - these get boring and repetitive after a while. Also, the bits with 'Avid' are a bit boring too.

... but I've yet to find a Mel B sketch that hasn't had me in stitches! On the series 2 DVD there's also a brilliant extended scene! That had me in hysterics too.

I think the best parts are the sketches where he makes celebrities look really vulgar - like the Mel B, 'Tranny and Susannah' and Elton John ones. The other sketches where he's just silly like the Jonathon Ross ones aren't very funny.

Ooh... also - is there any truth in the rumour that Avid and Big Brother's Craig are lovers and genuinely share a flat... or are we forbidden from discussing this? Confused

I dont know how they got Mathew Wright and John Leslie together, surely he wouldn't have forgiven him for what he put him through would he?

It probably helped that Matthew Wright and John Leslie have the same agent.

Bo selecta is annoying! It was funny when it first started, but it ran thin very fast. If it had ended after the first series it might have still have some dignity. The second series really an the joke into the ground- now this single? BTW, why do we never get to see Leigh Francis as himself, not encecerially as part of the show, but outside it as well. He only ever does interviews etc.. if he's Avid Merrion.

I still like Bo Selecta. So long as there are some new characters in series three, and less Craig David, Michael Jackson and David Blaine then I'll be happy. I don't think it ever really wears thin, because part of it is news based and topical which keeps it fresh.

As for Leigh being Avid, I presume that Leigh wanted to be a TV presenter or something but kept getting told "You don't look right" or something, so the only way to get into it was to be Avid - an unusual character.

I find that highly unlikely and very difficult to imagine! Confused

Ironically, I've just been reading about Mel B, and her "lesbian lover" in todays papers - is she on a publicity crusade or something?!

The only bit that’s probably true is that they share a flat together. As for being Gay Lovers, well I don’t think so. Craig is in my opinion, obviously straight, as for Leigh, well who am I to say what he is!
As for the character of Avid, well I think he’s Bi. Given the chance to do Craig from big bro or David Snedden, avid would! But also given the chance to get naughty with the Mis-teeq ladies or Christine Hamilton, I’m sure Avid would jump to it aswell. We all know he likes 'fangeeta'!

Very surprised that nobody mentioned the BBC ident spoof hidden within the video. Bloke in wheelchair dressed in santa suit (which of course is red), surrounded by dancing Santas. The only thing missing was the red box in the corner.

I think this is the same guy who sometimes presents on XChange, isn't it?

Just seen it on The Hits.
