Why does Sky only promote its services towards younger people? I mean, on the cover of their brochures they have photos The Simpsons, football players, and blockbuster movies. These would be turn offs for a lot of older people. Why not put some pictures from some of the UK TV channels, or the shopping channels?

Surely it would be in Sky's interest to promote it as a platform with a variety of channels for lots of different people?

The people their promotions are aimed at have the highest levels of disposable incomes, I would suspect.

But it would be possible to promote the variety of services instead of just sport, movies and simpsons.

They obviously aim their ads at the most gullible section of the population and - via the sun "newspaper" - at the least intelligent.
They're not daft - unlike the punters giving them £30+ per month.

It just seems daft that they are targeting just one group when others would find Sky just as enjoyable. Having said that, none of the other digital platforms do it either.
