It will transform the site in to a seven studio complex with the most up to date technical kit and also includes a full refit for the entire building. Should be good, likely to take 12 months.

Some questions I would like to ask:
A: How many Studios will be for emmerdale
B: How many studios will be for other uses like ITV show or Inde companies ( it is possible that one or two Emmerdale one could swape over?)
C: Has ITV achieve been shipped out?
D: will any be for the news?

They are transforming what was studios 3 and 4 into an Emmerdale production space.
There will be no other space for any other productions but that would also have been the case had it been demolished.
Provision are also moving in, so basically ITV are keeping the iconic main building and getting rid of some of the other buildings they use in the vacinity (Something I think the BBC should do regarding Television Centre)
Calendar is staying in 104 Kirkstall Road separate from the main building
More info. Studios 3 & 4 stay as now. Scene dock converted to two studios. Extension to be buit to accommodate three extra studios. HD kit fitted. WEst wing of complex coverted to house independent production.
Interesting, especially the floor plans. Looks like they're essentially turning the whole centre over to just one programme with a transmission area in the middle.
Odd to see an area on the 1st floor labeled up as rooms from a police station and hospital
