Not only is Mr Bean being shown on two channels, but they're running them in exactly the same order - so one Mr Bean episode airs on Nickelodeon, and then the exact same one airs on Paramount that night.

Quite interesting, really - it's like they've aimed the repeats at both kids and adults.

I haven't watched the repeats on Paramount, but are they showing them with the same presentation as Nickelodeon? I only ever watched Mr Bean on Video and on video the episode with the orange mini as opposed to the lime green and black one (I think it was the pilot) had different opening titles and i'm sure had a Thames end credit instead of a Tiger Aspect one.

How about the Authentic V Slicer and the Jack (are you wearing a corset?) LaLanne Power Juicer? Both of them are showing on at least three shopping channels at any one time.

I think Paramount and Nickelodeon are owned by the same company aren't they - I'm pretty sure in the days of time sharing they shared a channel.

An obvious one, but most Fridays C4 and E4 show Friends at the same time.

The earlier Mr Bean episodes would have been credited to Tiger Television, which was the name of the production company before it merged with Aspect Television.

Murder She Wrote! It seems to be on any time of the day or night, on whatever channel! OK so that was an exaggeration but it is broadcast on BBC in the afternoons (not at the moment though) as well as UKTV Gold and Drama at various different times of day. Makes you wonder why they release it on DVD when it has such a high audience saturation.

Yes, they're both owned by Viacom International Inc, which also owns MTV Networks and Comedy Central.

Back in mid 90's, Nickelodeon and The Paramount Channel shared the same frequency on satellite. NIck started it's
schedules at (IIRC) 07:00 through 19:00, and Paramount came on at 20:00. On a few occasions, Nick stayed on
until 20:00, even though it was scheduled to go off at 19:00. They referred to the extra hour as "Pirate TV".

Eventually, Paramount was extended by that hour, to start as soon as Nick went off air.

At the time, most cable companies didn't have The Paramount Channel among their catalog of channels. Nynex had
the Performance Channel sharing the same channel number as Nick, and starting as soon as Nick went off the air.

Nobody here seems to have pointed out that it is all to do with different channels owning the rights to different series of a particular programme at any one time.

It was only a few months ago that I recall 'Scrubs' being broadcast nearly everyday on Sky One, E4 and abc1.

Good ideas from both channels. When Trisha moved to 5, ITV showed classics at 9.25am and 5 showed new episodes. Didnt they..(few years back)!

I'd hardly call any episode of Trisha "classic"!

Some though are credited to Thames Television, though I guess this stopped around 1993 for obvious reasons..

I knew Mr Bean was being shown on Paramount, though I didn't know it was being shown on Nickelodeon too, though I'm not complaining, as it's the first time in the UK it's been shown on a regular basis on a channel that isn't ITV, heck I don't even know why ITV don't show it anymore, when Merry Christmas, Mr Bean was shown on Christmas Eve 2004, it scored as ITV's highest rated comedy programme of that year!

Having watched Mr Bean Goes To Town on Thursday night, Paramount must have a different version of it, I've got the official DVD which has 'Copyright Thames Television 1991' at the end, but the one on Paramount doesn't have this and has a new endcap from TigerAspect crediting it to (C) TigerAspect 1991, whether this is International or not I don't know.

I can't think of any other programmes that were shown on two really different channels at the same time-ish, the only one I can think of was the brief spell when Tonight With Jay Leno was being shown on CNBC and Ftn.
