Windmill. Or just invent a new clips show with the same kind of format. It made Sundays worth it for a while in the 80s, when the only other good Sunday programme was Bullseye.

For those that don't know, Windmill was a clips show presented by Chris Searle. It had a very calm and relaxed approach and treated you with respect, unlike the I Love... series, and all those Top 10 / Top 100 shows you get on C4. I loved the titles, especially when everything "rewound" at the end of the show. I was fascinated by picture search as a kid!

Was this much like what I guess to be a similar type of show, which had a strange sort of computer interface style, called Voxpops? I remember it as a programme that bridged the end of the bbc 2 childrens programming to the start of more grown up stuff, perhaps even sunday grandstand. I might have got the name wrong too...

And another suggestion - Friday film specials. I want to see Sammy's super T shirt again.

Top of the pops used to be repeated daily by UKgold back in the mid 90's.
Ive been wanting it back for ages.

Its such a shame that Not The Nine OClock News seems only ever to be broadcast in best of format.

The series i most want to see, and have been searching for years to find in the absolutely hillarious KYTV. Some of those episode are among the funniest things i can ever remember seeing, but i havent seen them for about 10 years.

KYTV, Crossroads, Oh No It's Selwyn Froggit, Filthy, Rich and Catflap, Till Death Us Do Part, Seven of One, Spitting Image, Naked Video, Bottom, Dallas, Dynasty, Knots Landing and Tenko have all been shown at one point or another on UK Gold since 1992.

And what about these series - also shown on UK Gold (when it was worth watching)...

Doomwatch, The Innes Book of Records, Keep It in the Family, Father Dear Father, Rainbow, Rentaghost, Jossy's Giants, I Didn't Know You Cared, Survivors, Two Ronnies - I could go on and on, as there were so many classic series shown back then!

2point4 Children.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned it already.

As far as I know, the BBC have NEVER repeated it, and considering it got as much as 13 million viewers in the mid 90's, I'm sure it'd be welcome for repeats.

The current UK Gold repeats aren't quite good enough, they're only showing the last two series!

You Rang M'lud is an interesting one. I think it is the only one of the Perry/Croft sit-coms that has never been repeated. I remember reading once that it was because one of the cast will not sign the repeat clearence forms, so in the archive it must stop.

There's a point on that idealogy about cast consent for repeat runs:

Who do you go to if you want to show a programme that stars a cast that is now mostly deceased? Dad's Army for example. Obviously you can't go and ask Arthur Lowe as he's been dead for the last twenty years so I presume the buck stops with the Beeb for licensing repeat runs on this?

Yes, 2 point 4 children was good. One thing - Did the Guy the played Ben die in real life?? Gary Olson I think he was called. Is that right or am I thinking of someone else?

EDIT - Just seen this on the BBC website:
Quote:
Gary Olsen's tragically premature death from cancer on 13 September 2000, aged just 42, ensured that the special millennium episode screened nine months earlier would be the last.

Surely 2.4 has been repeated on BBC 1 ?

Certainly the previous series prior to a new series.

Hasn't 'You Rang M'Lud' been repeated on UK Drama ?

I don't think it has.

Not one single screening since the final millenium episode 30th December 1999!
