I wouldn't mind seeing the 1997 Timewatch documentary 'I, Alison' again, about the life of Alison French, who has cerebral palsy. A fascinating hour's watching....

Whenever it is on it's usually about 3.30am on a Tuesday morning, when it used to be on at the more respectable time of 10pm.

Who remembers Now Get Out of That? I'm surprised that hasn't been repeated...

I'd love to see repeats of Crossroads, Prisoner, Dark Skies, early Home & Away, Sunset Beach, the list is endless really.

Old Crossroads is a possibility, especially since a lot of pre-Central episodes have now been catalogued and transferred to a modern format.

Prisoner I think is a possibility on C5, despite what they said. I've said this a couple of times before but since Prisoner finished, C5 still wanted a filler in it's slot, and so have turned to the other great 80's Aussie soap, Sons and Daughters, shown in a double bill to take up the space which Prisoner did. Whilst I like the programme (although I haven't watched it in a while now) it doesn't attract any advertising at all (not even in the break between the two programmes, or either side of the slot). In contrast, Prisoner almost always had 2, 1 minute internal commercial breaks, and a 1 minute break before or after it. 3 minutes of advertising might not be much, but it's more than they get now. Since C5 surely haven't bought all of the Sons & Daughters episodes, and they are knocking them out at more than the original transmission rate (4 episodes a week), they must surely run out of episodes sometime in the next year. And even if they have bought episodes to the end, they will finish it inside 2 years anyway. And since both programmes are of roughly the same vintage (pris ran from 1979-1986 and S&D ran from 1981-1987) and the rights for both programmes held by Fremantle media, then I'd imagine both programmes cost pretty much the same to licence. I'd therefore fully expect Prisoner to return to late night C5 at some point in the next few years.

I'd love Sunset Beach to be repeated and I don't really know why ITV2 abruptly cancelled it. It certainly wasn't due to ratings as it was always in their top 10 programmes and the actual ratings, whilst sounding meagre by what the channel attracts today, were excellent considering that at the time ITV2 was only available in England and Wales and then only on DTT (itself much less popular then) and a couple of cable systems. But sadly, I don't think anyone else will take it up. The UK's flirtation with American soaps seem to have ended. The only current US soap still shown here is The Bold and The Beautiful, and that's shown overnight on Living TV and until they run out of episodes.

I'd like to be proved wrong, but I'm not holding out too much hope of SB returning (although why C5 can't find somewhere for it I don't know - it set an as yet unbeaten record for the highest rated daytime programme on C5, and as it hasn't been on a terrestrial channel (yes I know ITV2 is but you know what I mean) for almost 4 years there are new audiences for it to be found, surely it can be rerun in the afternoons or even late evening?), I'll just live in the comfort of the 50 or so episodes I've got on tape.

I'd quite like to see the Tub of Lard episode from Have I Got News For You repeated, side-achingly funny, especially as Paul Merton won despite having the Tub of Lard as his team partner!

It was available as part of a video compilation a few years back !

BTW how much 'Tiswas' exists then?

I didn't think there was much !

Something popped into my mind earlier, and that was that a repeat of the house of cards/ final cut/ whatever the other one was called would be pretty cool.

Windmill. Or just invent a new clips show with the same kind of format. It made Sundays worth it for a while in the 80s, when the only other good Sunday programme was Bullseye.

For those that don't know, Windmill was a clips show presented by Chris Searle. It had a very calm and relaxed approach and treated you with respect, unlike the I Love... series, and all those Top 10 / Top 100 shows you get on C4. I loved the titles, especially when everything "rewound" at the end of the show. I was fascinated by picture search as a kid!

That was repeated by BBC Choice a couple of years back.

You Rang M'lud is an interesting one. I think it is the only one of the Perry/Croft sit-coms that has never been repeated. I remember reading once that it was because one of the cast will not sign the repeat clearence forms, so in the archive it must stop.
