I've noticed that tonight all 5 main channels have scheduled a majority of their programmes to start at XX:15. Usually it would be XX:00.

Looks like BBC One have led the way as Killing Eve is only 45 mins with the rest of the evening back-timed from 10pm.

Would the other channels have deliberately altered their schedules to match BBC One or is just pure coincidence?

I noticed that too. It's like the 70s and 80s again and the 19:15hrs kick off on all three channels (because of the 18:30 to 19:15hrs 'God Slot' on BBC1 and ITV)

I'd say in this case it was BBC2 - for the first few weeks of Killing Eve ITV, C4 and C5 kept the 8pm/9pm junction, but when the Ranganation returned a couple of weeks back on BBC2 with a 9.15pm start, as it also runs for 45 minutes, the rest seemed to have followed suit, initially because Boris claimed 15 minutes at 7pm to end/not end the lockdown, but then they've stuck with it since.

The reason for the 9:15 start is because Killing Eve is only 45 mins long.

It’s been the case for quite a few weeks now, but this is the first time ITV have decided to align to it. Probably because they are showing Jurassic Park earlier so it’s easier to do so.

apologies if its been mentioned but with ITV/STV repeating Vera recently they have started it at 8.30pm then it finishes for 10.20pm (take into account at times ITV seem to run a few minutes late!), I maybe wrong but I am sure when they repeated this from the beginning they managed to fit in for the news at 10 (I could be wrong) but I am sure even with the first episode the ad breaks looked more out of place (they didn't use the Vera idents to go to ads/return it was for me it was the STV idents).

That’s because they were starting it at 8pm
