I agree, the breakdown was handled fine apart from the poor guy (who sounds about 12) getting tongue tied - at least it was live!
Go back to pre-national continuity and in the Carlton Central region we would have had a pre-recorded announcement if the breakdown had happened before 12.30pm as they only had one live announcer on shift per day working practically a 12 hour shift, who also recorded the announcements for the following morning.
So in some ways things are better!
stv does seem a joke - do they not have a live announcer now until evening? - very UTV!
