Wonder how far this could go then, for instance could we see branches of particular retail outlets in soaps.

ie. the corner shop in Corrie become a Tesco Express, the Rovers Return becoming a Wetherspoons pub ?

Unlikely for a pub the size of the Rovers to become a Spoons but we could start seeing Coke/Pepsi on pump.

I take it this will only apply to ITV, ch4.. well why would anyone waste there money on ch5 as there very little which comes under the remits and with sky channels?

I was actually thinking this too. Especially the corner shop - and I wonder for example how far they could go - i.e you have a shot of the coner shop in the titles - could they have it with the Tesco signage on?

Coke/ Pepsi wouldn't be able to appear on pump because foods in sugar etc. aren't allowed. Might get Diet Coke/Coke Zero etc if their allowed.

That was painful. Characters talking away with slow zooms onto Wanchai.

Awfully painful. Hilarious. But painful.

It would actually be quite funny in low market soaps such as Hollyoaks if they said, "I'm going to make a bowl of Kellogg's Branflakes. They're a really nutritious, delicious way to start the day! Do you want some?"

The product placement logo will probably be more annoying than the product placement itself anyway.

Huh! Expect Dirty Desmond to have everybody on Channel 5 sitting reading one of his magazines then!

This would doubtless involve unfolding the pull out centre pages and rotating by 90°, 180° and then back to 0°.
