Problems With Subtitles On Freeview

Is There A Problem With The Subtitles On Freeview?

The BBC Channels are okay but i'm Talking Virgin 1, Film 4 etc...

They were alright Monday But since Tuesday, They Have appeared, then the subtitles froze whilst the programme carried on then the subtitles dissapered.

I've never had subtitles on Virgin1 or Film4 on Freeview on my box. I can get them on Channel4+1 (albeit about 15 seconds behind the visual action) but not at all on E4+1. Yet I know they exist because the downstairs box can see E4+1 subtitles. Fortunately I am lucky enough not to need the subtitles.
