Constant news being a recorded programme?
News24 has more recorded programmes than Sky in the 6am-12am time slot, and as ITN has so wonderfully proved not many people actually like the all news theme!
The presenter is not terrible at all, he's the best media journo about - and the longest serving.
The ITV Digital story would only get a 'quick look-in' because it isn't really a big story.
And anyway on the day the rebranding was annouced, News24 made a big thing about BSkyB's share price dropping yet totally ignore Granada and Carlton falling far more, and they put Sky's share price down to the fact that it was because of this rebranding.
Incidentally if you saw Bloomberg 10 mins later it was put down to the fact that GMS in the US had downgraded the share or stock if you prefer on a totally unrelated issue, talk about cat and dog.

By golly, look who's reading the news in the graveyard hours on Radio2.
It's John Territ, BBC News24's 'Business' presenter.

I knew I should have put 'IMO' in front of that sentence. He seemed to bumble his way through the programme and once again, just because he is the longest serving, on the longest 24hr news station (as we are often reminded) does not make him the best.
And regarding ITV Digital - it was one of this weeks' major media stories except 'SKY' didn't see fit to mention much about it although to their credit, it was 30-seconds longer than I originally thought they'd cover on it Smile

Cheers,
Asa

I think you mean listen to radio2 Smile

The 'graveyard' hours are the best hours of the day in my opinion - everything is peaceful and calm, and dark. Pity I'm usually sleeping though.

Well at least they gave it 30 seconds over coverage, which is more than I can say for the BBC.
They went live to one correspondent at the Times during the Money programme at 11.30 in the morning on the day of the annoucement, and went live to Ray Snoddy in Business Report at 7.30pm.

And Ray is the best guy in the business, he has had more scoops than anyone, including the ITC's decision to throw BSkyB out of the DTT constort. - which was the main media story at that time, and Dyke's appointment of DG at the BBC, before it was announced.

Incidentally, experience does matter. Working for longer than your rivals gives you the best contacts and the best knowledge in the field.
