Bit late....
But asa said 'None of the regional news programme headlines are recorded!'
But i think the headlines for south today/oxford are because south today/southampton get their own headlines and both headlines are read by the same newsreaders.
(why heather mcarthy, who usualy does oxford south today, dosnt read them....???)

Well if both headlines are different and read by the same newsreader, one of them (probably Oxford) will be pre-recorded. I find this surprising (yes why isn't Heather McCarthy doing them?) It'll be as a result of that area splitting from Newsroom SE and reminds me, I must upload that news report into the change.

Actually looking back at that video clip, the reporter does say 'Newsroom SE will be relaunched as London Live'

Actually UK Today is only available in England, as 'nations' viewers have their own services on Sky Digital.
The London Live ident will be no different BTW, just generic - i've heard the music to it and it sounds identical, and obviously it fits in well with the replacement for GLR.

Well you'd expect it to be the same. I think the graphics team would be really annoyed if they make up these great opening titles with a generic look for the country, only for London to break away!

It'll be nice to see Kent and Sussex spinning around on the titles without London Smile

Well yes and no.
I expect they would keep it the same if only to retain some corporate branding, but the BBC love London, hence their rebranding of London Live which cost a fortune but no-one listens to it, I expect it will perhaps be a little better than other regional services if only because it is based at TVC.
Anyway, I am now off to watch Media Monthly on Sky News.

Media Monthly is exactly what it says.
About the media over the past month.
Presented by The Times media editor Ray Snoddy.
I have no reason to watch News24, as there is nothing good on it.

I spoke to the producer of the programme about this a few months ago and it is done from N6.
However, they obviously cannot use a window behind it, because of two reasons:
Viewers would get bored of seeing the news room for a full hour.
and if they were to use a window, what would the window show? Viewers in the North would get angry if it showed a picture of London, so they kept it as the News24 style.

How many times is it on where you stay?

here in scotland the only way to see UK Today is when news 24 is showing breakfast and they show uk today instead of regional news, also the news bullitans at 3:20 pm on bbc2. and these shows only ever last a few mins! - never a whole hour!

I thought you were a staunch supporter of News 24 and other BBC news programmes! Or am I getting you confused with the other 98% of the people in this forum Smile

No, you're getting me confused with the other 98%.
However, just remember that you are in the minority overall.

A decent enough programme I suppose. I see the 'ITV Digital' story only got a quick look-in.

And the presenter of the show is terrible! And yes, BBC News 24 doesn't have a similar programme. It seems to be shifted more to the ITN News Channel 'constant' news theme rather than SKY's varied programming. Each have their merits.

Cheers, Asa
