Anyone having problems watching BBC 1 at the mo ?

Only Nations, London, East(West) & Channel Isles seem to be working ok, other regions are breaking up !

This is on my normal Sky box, but the SKY plus downstairs seems to be working on 101 at least.

(God I hope my box isn't f**ked again. I only changed it last year !)

probably weather related - have you reset the box?

Why, is there bad weather I didn't notice? Only thunderstorms and heavy snow should affect your satellite reception.

It sounds more like your dish is slightly misaligned.

Mine seems to require a reboot after any significant amount of rain

I came back from Berkshire (only two days) and no signal there at all and apparently we had a lot of rain and wind. It then went purple on the screen and when I unplugged and rebooted the SKY box it was fine.

It did right itself 5 minutes after, but my sister was watching a prog she had 'taped' on SKY +, & after she'd come out of it & checked 101 for me, I came back to my box & everything was fine(I think she went back to her SKY + prog too & nothing changed!), so it must be a weather problem, but how come it only affected certain regions on SKY?

the regions are spread across several transponders. I often find that I can get one of the Nations if I can't get Yorkshire/Lincs on 101

Bit of a bugger if you wanted your regional news though!

Perhaps it's time you had your dish re-aligned.

What's the 'lifespan' of a dish alignment?

I had Multiroom last year, so mine should be OK surely, plus we had 2 'recon' boxes too!

It will be fine until the wind blows it out of alignment. If not properly tightened it could be misaligned 10 minutes after the installer leaves, assuming he has properly aligned it in the first place.

Quite possibly, it's been up 4 years and I thought it was a cowboy job at the time...
