Some reason I don't have a X (stop button) on my browser


Most modern browsers have it shared with the refresh button, when you access a page you'll get the X until it finishes loading, at which point it turns into the refresh icon.

Alternatively, you can hit [Esc].

Is Sat Gold using FireFox: where the curing circular arrow is where the X appears when a page is updating

Just press escape.

The other way to avoid redirects is to use the proper long link and not the sh*tty short youtu.be link. Just click the "long link" box in the "Share" option on YouTube.

Should be ok now and should be able to throw full URLs, short URLs or just the ID at it. Hopefully I've updated any old posts which would cause the redirect too.
