Looks like you've left the "http://youtu.be" between the (youtube) (/youtube) tags. You only need the video ID, eg:

= (youtube)Af0mQVliSOA(/youtube)... ( meaning [ obviously.

I see what you mean. If it try to view the final page of the TV Themes thread my broswer is bringing up the YouTube home page instead, with no time to view the page (or, as you say, edit links). Hmmmm.

Aye, 'cos the OP's left the full URL between the (youtube) tags in his post, thus causing the browser to redirect to the YouTube home page.

Okay Buddy. This is what you can do. Firstly, don't panic. I can't stress that enough. You should not panic when you have broken a thread.

All you need to do is click this link and change all instances of youtu.be to youtube.com/?v=

So, http://youtu.be/oh6XmNQcS5Q becomes http://youtube.com/?v=oh6XmNQcS5Q

If you make this change quickly, Asa will probably only ban you for a week.

David, alas, you bestow false information! No youtube.coms of any sort are needed, only the video ID section.

So, http://youtu.be/oh6XmNQcS5Q becomes oh6XmNQcS5Q

Panic over.

This is good advice. I think mine was good advice too and what I said wasn't false, but your advice is probably better.

The panic can only really be over when that thread is working again.

I know it's been flagged up before so sorry for not getting it fixed sooner, I've disabled embedding for now. The theory was to allow full URLs which would be stripped back to the id or just the id itself.

I sure hope these video links are worth this angst...
