I might watch it, but the fact they are hyping this up as their answer to Doctor Who makes me think it wont be anywhere near as popular.
I've read a couple of comments from people who have seen the first episode. They didn't seem impressed.
And I'm miffed that TV Burp has been put in an earlier slot because of it.
Same here.
Doesn't appeal to me at all - and IMO it's interupting the flow of the Saturday night schedule which for the first time in god knows how many years, ITV seemed to have spot on.
There doing the same now as they did in the Autumn with Afterlife - squeezing in that one programme too many!

Its called having some variety in the schedule. Not everyone wants entertainment and game shows.
In case you forgot this is on today. Radio Times gives it a decent write up
If I tell you that dinosaurs lumbering through a portal between past and present lie at the heart of this primetime drama, you'll know not to expect gritty realism set on a northern council estate. And hooray for that, because Primeval is a good old ripping yarn full of goodies, baddies, monsters and breathless chases. It even has a handsome, flawed hero: the single-minded scientist Professor Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall). If you tell him that dinosaurs are hurtling around the Forest of Dean having lurched through a hole in time, he believes you. He also has a diverse team of wacky assistants who follow doggedly as he goes in search of the creatures, armed with little more than a well-fitting jacket. Children will adore Primeval and, as for adults - well, you might be resistant to such silliness, but it's so engaging your defences will probably crumble fairly quickly.
A few people on Digital Spy said they saw a few episodes and that it was awful so I wasn't very optimistic, but from the reviews I've read, they seem to be a bit more keen on it. Hopefully it will be good. If this is a hit it will encourage ITV to produce more drama like this, especially for Saturday evenings, rather than the usual. They've got a great Saturday night line-up now so hopefully this will fit right in.
