I don't know what to make of this awards show. All the stars turn up to support members of the public who have done extraordinary things to help other people.

What annoys me is the fact some people are getting awards for doing things which could have easily been prevented. I'm not saying she didn't deserve her award but one girl was featured just now because she damaged her knee whilst skateboarding and a van pulled out in front of her, THEN she was hit by another car as she left hospital THEN she had to rescue her little brother from a fire in her kitchen WHILST ....wait for it....the mother just sat in the living room reading a book!

Where are the parents!? Where ARE the parents!

(I probably should have put this in The Lounge. I am all for members of the public getting awards and some really deserve them..but at what cost?)

Em, fires don't make noise. Perhaps none of the children were screaming at the time? Plenty of explanations. Rolling Eyes

These people have done great things to the country and deserve the awards.

This is why you should never save anyone's life - the Daily **** Mirror will want in on it.
