Completely agreed. No need for the soaps to overtake the evening schedules. (Okay maybe they get some ratings in, but maybe a change? take a risk etc). Fridays at 7pm a decent quiz type of show, through till 8pm!
I agree. If only to have a bit of variety they should try something different out at 7pm.

So ITV is surprised the latest version didn't match the success of the original. Well what did they expect? Restrictive half-hour shows, it always seems to be on, a bad choice of host and a cheaper look and feel.
Leslie Crowther's version was stylish, engaging and you could sense the great fun the participants were having. Frequent reminders about the Showcase Final enticed viewers to stay with the show.
Once the show was moved to weekdays and cut to 30 minutes, its fate was sealed, despite the best efforts of Brucie.

Ahh the Friday 7pm gameshow slot. I remember only 6 years ago we had the likes of Catchphrase (OK, without Roy Walker but it was still brilliant) Play Your Cards Right or Wheel of Fortune (with the cheesy 'man from C&A' displaying the prizes!) on ITV.
A few years before that Paul Daniels was on BBC1 at 7pm hosting Wipeout!

I used to love Take Your Pick with Des O Connor, and Family Fortunes with Les Dennis. Its so boring them putting Emmerdale on a Friday night at 7 when its shown 5 other nights.
